Zoo! Its been ages since i last went. Well, anyway, the Zoo changed a lot since i last saw it( about 6 years ago i think, haha).
For the most part, i don't really remember what i saw previously so it was a new experience for me, that includes the walk, very tiring. Overall, the Zoo was awesome! I took a couple of pictures too, some of which i forgot what animal they were. Of course i did not go alone. Alan, Winston, Shaun, Zhi jun, boon kim, De yuan, Mei fong, Wei ling and Zhi hui.
And, for some strange reason, most of the time the animals would turn away when i am trying to take a picture of them...
Moving on, i still managed to take several good shots. after a while, the girls wanted to eat so we went to the nearby KFC. Over there although i did not buy, shaun and the rest said the food was very expensive. I thought to myself, ...so its not standardized? having no money on me, i just took a few fries from Boon Kim, while Winston was messing with my camera... After that, we walked around some more and i took more pictures.
Throughout the "journey", we went to see 3 free shows. 1st was a show about a jungle. The overall story tells about a businessman trying to deforest a forest to build a shopping mall. There were many interesting animals shown, such as..... darn can't remember. I think there were chimpanzees, rabbits, ducks etc... oh and a snake too. As for the actors, they were able bodied men doing a dance, very much like those you see on movies with wild tribes. There was even a Caucasian guy who volunteered. He had to take off his shirt! And when he did that, everyone was like "yeah!!" and "whoo!!", totally hilarious.
The 2nd was called splash zone I think. Pretty amazing stuff, there were penguins, pelicans( who weren't part of the program...) and a sea lion.
3rd was a live polar bear feeding show, which we could not see anything as we had a bad seat...
After the "journey", which lasted from around 1.30pm to 6pm, we decided to have dinner. Winston had to leave us due to family issues.(I think his mother got sent to the hospital). The girls suggested that we watched a movie. We were all fine with it but knew that the earliest would be around 9pm. But, we went anyway, tried out our luck. Boon Kim parted with us at Somerset. Mei fong too i guess, or was it earlier? While going there, i noticed some thin very weird. During the Zoo walk Wei ling and Zhi hui were totally exhausted of energy but while going to the movies, they were SO full of it, that it made it look like we did not even walk for 5 hours.
As expected, we were unable to get tickets for anything before 9.15pm. We then parted with the two girls, had dinner and headed home. It was during the journey back that something funny happened. Because we were at Cathay and did not know a direct bus back, we had to guess. After some time, bus number 36 was decided. The bus would stop at st pat secondary school and we could head back. But obviously, things did not go well when we missed our stop and went all the way to the airport. During the trip, Alan and I already suspected that it was weird for the bus to go up an expressway to reach our destination.... oh well, it could not be helped.
With almost all my energy drained, i got home around 10 and began updating my blog... this.
Oh yeah, i actually saw a person wearing the female school uniform from Shakugan no Shana anime. I thought to myself.... cosplay? In Singapore Zoo? no way... Well it could be just me...
And lastly, Goodnight all!! Very tired...
